1. Focus on mobile traffic.

There is a statistic that mobile traffic will increase compared to desktop traffic this year. That’s why if you have a website, you need to have a responsive website. This is because customers are more satisfied browsing the internet using their mobile phones. Thus, make sure that your website is mobile friendly. There are some ways how you can check if your website passes Google’s mobile friendly test.

2.      You should begin optimizing Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuckGo.

There are some latest developments nowadays that you should include optimizing Bing, Yahoo, and DuckDuckGo.

As you may have heard, Firefox already remove Google as the default browser, instead, they replace it with Yahoo. Google will be on Safari this year. In iOS 8 and OS X, there is an option to switch browser from Google to DuckDuckGo.

That’s why you should be flexible and try to optimize other search engine aside from Google alone.

3.      Do not focus on keyword rankings, but focus on ROI (return on investment) Metrics.

You should change your strategy if your business is always thinking of keyword rankings. You should give more emphasis on your ROI metrics. It can be awesome to know that you are ranking number one using a specific keyword.

Do not forget that you are spending more money for SEO strategy. It is better to see that you have returned your investment than to know

4.      Concentrate on Social Media strategy.

Before, social media is just a platform where you can share contents, images, music, posts, and others. However this year, social media can be a place for customer service and marketing. The audience in your social media expects that your brand will interact with them.

It is recommended that you focus on 3 major social media platforms and be active and accommodating. This will help you interact with your present customers and gain more customers. Aside from that, this will also help you generate more leads and sales.

5.      Do not build links. Earn links.

There are many changes happen to the algorithm. But there is this one thing that remains and it is the inbound link remains influential. This indicates trust and authority.

This is no longer the time to build links by making blogs. You should make sure that you earn relevant link because this will also help you generate more sales and leads.

6.      Use certain keywords and search phrases.

It is already over to target the broad keywords. They may have high search volume but they do not provide high targeted traffic. You should choose long-tail search keywords because they can attract lots of buyers, but the competition is less.
